Nile Foundation Launches 16 Days of Activism Campaign in Guriel District The Nile Foundation, in collaboration with the Somali Women Rescue Council (SWRC) and SOMVILLA University in Guriel, has officially launched a 16-day activism campaign aimed at raising awareness to end harmful social norms and violence against women in the Guriel district. This initiative is part of a global movement that seeks to foster dialogue and promote equality and end all violence against women. The campaign, which runs from November 25 to December 10, will include a series of workshops, community outreach programs, and public events designed to engage the local community in discussions about gender-based violence. The goal is to educate individuals about the detrimental effects of such violence and to encourage a collective effort to challenge and change these harmful practices.
